The fine print, finely written
Terms of Service.
These are the terms that govern your membership in Off the Grid. We have kept them honest, plain-spoken, and as short as the law allows. By creating an account, paying for a tier, or attending one of our events, you agree to the terms below.
1.The Society
Off the Grid (the “Society”) is a private, invitation-only lifestyle community operated by OTG Mercantile(the “Company,” “we,” “us”). The Society includes the website at offthegrid.club, our mobile and tablet experiences, our member events, escapes, and any concierge services we provide to members in good standing. Membership is a revocable privilege, not a right. We may decline an application or end a membership for any reason permitted by law.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least twenty-one (21) years old to view, browse, or register an account. Where local law sets a higher age of majority for adult communities, you must meet that age. We may, at any time, ask you to verify your age and identity through a trusted third-party verification provider, government-issued identification, or an in-person review at one of our soirées. Providing false information about your age is a material breach of these Terms and will result in immediate and permanent removal.
3.Conduct
The Society runs on trust. You agree to be honest in your profile, to treat other members with the same discretion you expect from them, and to honor a clear “no.” You will not harass, impersonate, coerce, screenshot, share, or out any other member. You will not publish, link to, or post content depicting minors, non-consensual acts, or anything that breaks the law in the place you live or the place you are connecting from. The full standards live in our Member Conduct policy and are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
4.Membership tiers and billing
Off the Grid offers six Membership Keys — Bronze Entry, Silver Portal, Gold Vault, Platinum Sovereign, Titanium Master, and the invitation-only Onyx — at the prices listed on the membership page. Paid tiers renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds outside the first seven (7) days of an initial subscription are at our discretion. Billing is processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor and appears on your statement as “OTG MERCANTILE” — never with our public-facing name, never with anything that suggests its purpose. Taxes, where applicable, are added at checkout.
5.Content & ownership
You own what you post. By uploading a photo, a story, a forum reply, a guide, or a message, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, transmit, encrypt, decrypt, resize, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating the Society on your behalf. We do not sell your content, and we do not train third-party AI models on it. Your private albums (the Vanishing Album feature) are encrypted at rest and only shown to members you specifically grant access to, for the window you choose. You may export or delete your content from your account settings at any time; deletion is permanent within thirty (30) days, subject to legal hold and backup rotation.
6.Termination
You can leave at any time. We can remove your account if you violate these Terms, our Conduct policy, or any law that applies to you or to us. We will tell you why where we are legally able to. On termination, your paid access ends, your visible profile is removed, and your content is purged within thirty (30) days except where we must retain limited records (billing receipts, safety reports, legal process) for a defined period.
7.Disputes
We hope you never need this section. If you have a complaint, write to concierge@offthegrid.club first — most things resolve in a single thread. If a formal dispute arises, you and OTG Mercantile agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in the State of Delaware, unless prohibited by your local consumer-protection law. Class actions and class arbitration are waived to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in small-claims court where you live.
8.Changes
The Society will evolve, and these Terms will evolve with it. If we make a change that materially reduces your rights, we will email you and post a notice in your account before the change takes effect, and give you at least thirty (30) days to cancel. Smaller edits — typos, clarifications, the occasional new section — will be reflected here with an updated date at the bottom of the page.
